My Work Experience:
The Brit Awards 2023
For my work experience, I secured a placement with the company PRG who gave me the incredible experience of working on the Brit Awards. On this show, I had two job roles including a Lighting Technician and a Sun Gunner. I was part of this placement for 2 weeks and it included working in the PRG Longbridge warehouse getting fixtures tested and set up ready for van loads, building structures to put equipment on and then packing the van before heading to the O2 arena. Once at the O2, I did work such as rigging fixtures to the upper circle and the overhead rig, assembling the band extras such as Harry Styles' 2 blue triangle pieces of set with Highlander's on top of them before the technical rehearsals began. Once the show's rehearsals and then when the show was airing, I was in my role of Sun Gunner where I stayed with Mo Gilligan for when he was doing interviews and intros to artists.
